How Massage Therapy Changed My Life:

My interest in the field of massage therapy and self healing began at the age of 18. In 2003 I was in a severe car accident that nearly ended my life. The driver had fallen asleep at the wheel going 80 miles an hour down an old highway in the middle of the Nevada desert. I had a fractured skull, broken neck, broken jaw and had severed all the tendons in my right arm. While in a drug induced coma for several weeks in the Las Vegas ICU, I became aware of the flow of energy in my body and could hear and see, even though many people believed I was unconscious. I focused on visualizing healing colors and light in my cells and throughout my entire body. I was life flighted back to Boise and continued treatment. They were shocked and amazed that I was recovering so quickly. Even with extensive surgery, the surgeons told me I would never be able to use my arm in the same way again, and it would likely cause me pain for my entire life. This was unacceptable to me, being a musician, to not ever be able to strum my guitar or play my violin again. I sought out alternative healing modalities, and after following an intense massage program I in time regained full use of the arm and all my fingers PAIN FREE! I became fascinated with massage therapy and thoroughly convinced of its many benefits. (14 years later I am STILL pain free and have full use of my right hand and arm!)

I have been practicing massage and bodywork for over 12 years! I have continued to learn and grow, from getting my Certificate of Massage Therapy from Apollo College in 2006, to obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Health Science and Minor in Psychology from Boise State University in 2015. I have reached Master Level in 3 different schools of Reiki: Usui, Karuna, and Tanran, and have extensively studied energy work from multiple perspectives, such as Native American Shamanism, Ayurveda, and Chinese Medicine. I have worked in spas, health clubs, hospice care, retirement homes, and private offices that have contributed to my in depth knowledge of various modalities, clients, and settings. All this experience has helped me to become well rounded and continued to grow my faith in the field of bodywork and energy work. I love watching my clients walk away with less pain, less stress, and with smiles on their faces.
